A new public art installation along East Colfax Avenue in the Bluebird Business Improvement District was recently completed.
Called Bluebird Haiku, it is located along the sidewalk on the north side of Colfax beginning near East High School and ending near the Bluebird Theater.

The art project was spearheaded by East High School student Camille Davis and her father Greg Davis, funded in part by a Denver Arts & Venues grant called P.S. You Are Here. The Bluebird Business Improvement District sponsored the father-and-daughter team for the grant.
Anybody in the Denver metro-wide community was permitted to submit a haiku for the project, but the submission had to describe, illustrate, characterize and/or portray the essence or history of the Bluebird District.
The completed project consists of about 20 haikus accompanied by a repeating pattern of three bluebirds flying east. Learn more at https://bluebirdhaiku.com/.
