Shiki Dreams named No. 4 immersive art experience in the country

A pop-up immersive art experience located in Denver’s City Park West neighborhood has recently been named the fourth best in the country by USA Today.

The art installation is Shiki Dreams by the Denver-based creative group, Prismajic. Shiki Dreams creates an imaginative step into the world of Shiki, the spiritual yeti guide and leader of the Spirits of the Forest from Natura Obscura, which was a 2019 collaborative installation between Prismajic and the Museum of Outdoor Arts in Englewood.

Each room in the approximate 1,200-square-foot installation represents a different dream sequence featuring a multi-sensory experience with a variety of art mediums created by more than 20 Colorado artists.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized as one of the best immersive experiences in the country,” said Eric Jaenike, co-founder of Prismajic with Jennifer Mosquera. “Given that we’re truly a David among Goliaths in the competition, it’s an honor and a testament to the creative community and patrons of the arts in Denver.”

A news release states that “nominees for the Best Immersive Art Experience were chosen by a panel of relevant experts that includes a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from, relevant expert contributors, and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties.”

Shiki Dreams is located at 2219 E. 21st Ave. in Denver. It is open from noon to 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and offers a limited-attendance experience at 10 guests per 30-minute time slot. Tickets cost $19.99 for adults and $14 for children age 10 and younger.
